Seeing as it’s so isolated Hawaii was occupied quite late in history if you compare it with other South Pacific countries, so finding rock art is a big deal.
The massive storms that have been hitting the United States and Hawaii revealed these rock art carvings or petroglyphs along the Pupukea Beach. This is the first time any kind of rock art has been found since 2010.
Most of the petroglyphs show either images of men or dogs. Researchers think these markings were used for travel and to mark trails or boundaries.
