14,000 year old stone tools found in Scotland

A team of archaeologists have uncovered about 5,000 of the earliest known stone tools in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, dating back 14,000 years.

Researchers believe the people who used these tools came from Denmark and Germany, as the tools are similar in these areas.

It’s possible they were tracking big game and found themselves in Scotland as the land was accessible back then during the last glacial period, before it was covered with water.
