19th century book made from human skin

It finally happened, Leatherface wrote a book, well not quite, but if he did it would have been made from human skin, like this one recently verified by Harvard scientists.

The book about French treatise in the 19th century has been studied by scientists after a parchment found in the book said that it was made from human skin. The skin is said to have been from a woman’s back, but don’t worry, she died from a heart attack before this was done.

Apparently in the 19th century, many of the bodies of people who had died were given to science and also used for…bounding. This method even has a term – anthropodermic bibliopegy.

Scientists tested the source of the book, and analysed it alongside goat and sheep skin, but alas, it was neither, and was the eeriest of eeries – human skin.
