Yes, that’s right, I said it…alien contact. The rock paintings found in Chhatisgarh, India have baffled local archaeologists, and preliminary dating is suggesting these markings were made some 10,000 years ago. Let the conspiracies begin!
The paintings show a group of humanoid shapes but with no facial features. There are also drawings of a tripod-looking object which is suggested as being a starship cruiser.
Local archaeologist JR Bhagat is suggesting that these paintings support the palaeocontact theory that aliens came to our planet eons ago and made contact with us. Local residents nearby the caves have ancient tales of a kind called the “rohela people”, who came here to earth, took some people from the village, and were never seen again.
Although this sounds like a case for Mulder and Scully, the likelihood seems to be that even prehistoric people had an imagination, just like we draw extra-terrestrial beings of today.
More analysis will of course need to be done, but here are some pictures to fuel your intrigue.
