Medieval skeletons found holding hands

Awwwww I guess true love never dies. During an excavation in the town of Hallaton at the Chapel of St Morel has uncovered nine skeletons, two of which were holding hands.

The man and woman skeletons were of similar age and date back to approximately the 14th century. One of the nine skeletons was said to have stones on top of their body, an apparently common practice in those days to keep the dead down, cause the last thing you want is a zombie apocalypse.

Underneath the chapel, Roman tiles have also been discovered. This has been an on-going project for the last 4 years by the Hallaton Fieldwork Group
